AFN is a Direct Lender with delegated authority to underwrite, fund, and service Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA, VA, and Jumbo loans products in-house. The Requirements

To be a strong fit for the Loan Officer opportunity, you will have:
  • An active Federal NMLS License Number, be SAFE Act compliant and hold multiple State MLO Licenses.
  • Significant experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer/Retail Mortgage Banking experience.  Quick question for you - click here
  • The drive and desire to run your role as you would run your own business, taking an aggressive approach to generating and closing business, self-sourcing, etc.
  • A strong client base of realtors, financial advisors, attorneys, etc.
  • A proven track record of success in a sales environment; preferably mortgage sales.
  • Documented history of strong earning as a top producing sales team member.
  • Product knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA programs.
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Encompass preferred.  Quick question for you - click here
  • College preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including team members, such as Mortgage Processors, who will support you.

The Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager(s), you will join a small, top-notch team including Processors, Pipeline and Sales Support Managers and other team members. You will have the full support of the office. Our driving goal is for you to step out of the process once the loan is submitted, having complete confidence that the loan will be processed in a timely manner and that your customer will have an outstanding experience.

Upon joining us, you will dedicate yourself to knowledge gain, filling any gaps necessary so that you can leverage the full extent of our products. We have it all, from the basics like FHA, USDA, VA, Conventional, and Jumbo, to the hard to find, like Jumbo loans up to 5 million dollars, 203(k), asset-based lending, construction to perm, manufactured, modular and more. AFN services include 24 - 48 hour turn times for fully underwritten pre-approvals, extended rate locks for new construction and closings in as little as 21 days. Even with your strong experience, there will be a lot to learn.
